The autonomous battery-swap mining truck developed by Boonray Technology and State Power Investment Corporation is focusing on overtaking on the uphill

     After receiving strategic investment and empowerment from the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Industrial Fund, Boonray Technology has become a member of the SPIC green electric transportation ecosystem. Together with Qiyuanxin Power and Ronghe Electric Technology, subsidiaries of the SPIC Group, Boonray Technology is jointly developing unmanned electric mining trucks and delivering comprehensive green mining intelligent solutions, promoting low-carbon and unmanned mining operations. The jointly developed autonomous electric mining truck is already in operation at large open-pit mines, including SPIC's open-pit mine and Zha Mine. Equipped with a high-performance power battery, dual electric motors, a 4AMT transmission, and a Boonray autonomous driving kit, this truck supports unmanned mining operations with a climbing grade of 40% and a fully loaded speed of 25 km/h, making it ideal for complex road conditions. It also incorporates electric brake energy recovery technology, which recycles braking energy during downhill driving back into the battery, partially recycling the electricity. Compared to fuel-powered mining trucks, it saves 80% energy on downhill runs and 40% on uphill runs. Reducing owners' operating costs while improving energy efficiency, accelerating the transformation to electrification, and making electric vehicles more suitable for autonomous driving systems, while being more low-carbon and environmentally friendly at the same production efficiency, are the better development directions for mining equipment under the country's dual carbon policy.
