Boonray Technology was recognized as Shanghais most investment-potential startup, leading the implementation of autonomous driving in mining areas.

On November 2nd, the "2022 Shanghai Top 50 Startups with the Most Investment Potential" list was officially announced after five months of fierce competition and selection, attracting 686 startups and maker teams. Boonray Technology, a provider of intelligent electrification services for mining areas, successfully made the cut. Rong Zhiqin, Director of the Shanghai Service Enterprise Joint Conference Office and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, attended and delivered a speech.

Rong Zhiqin pointed out that as we further publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we hope everyone will focus on three key areas, centered around the requirements of promoting high-quality development and building a new development landscape:

First, seize development opportunities and strengthen confidence in business development. Global industrial transformation is historicly converging with my country's economic transformation. Shanghai, with its unique geographical and policy advantages, should play a leading role in domestic industrial, supply, and value chains. We hope everyone will seize development opportunities stemming from national strategies such as Shanghai's development of the "Five Centers" initiative, leverage global platforms like the China International Import Expo, and strengthen confidence in business development.

Second, adhere to innovation-driven development to achieve high-quality business development. To achieve Chinese-style modernization, we must continuously explore new areas and tracks for development and foster new drivers and advantages for development. We must achieve high-quality business development through the integration of large, medium, and small businesses, and the fusion of diverse business formats.

Third, optimize the business environment and enhance the level of business services. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released assessments of the business development environment in 36 representative cities nationwide for two consecutive years, with Shanghai consistently ranking first overall. We hope that all service agencies will work together to continuously enhance Shanghai's business service capabilities. Shanghai will implement the requirements of General Secretary Xi, continue to give full play to the institutional mechanism of the "Shanghai Enterprise Service Joint Conference", and rely on the "Shanghai Enterprise Service Cloud" carrier to effectively enhance the sense of gain and satisfaction of enterprises.

Founded in 2015, Boonray Technology is dedicated to empowering traditional industries, such as mining, through autonomous driving and artificial intelligence technologies. The founding team graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and established a joint autonomous driving R&D center with the university. They have developed an intelligent open-pit mining operation platform that includes an industry-leading Level 4 autonomous driving system, a vehicle-by-wire control system, a 5G remote control system, and a cloud-based intelligent dispatching system. This platform enables interconnected and clustered intelligent operation of mining vehicles, excavators, loaders, and other mining machinery, facilitating large-scale deployment. This platform frees up manpower, enabling customers to more easily collect and analyze information, saving time and money, ultimately reducing costs and improving management and operational efficiency. Boonray has implemented unmanned mine truck transportation operations at numerous mines, including China Molybdenum, Gansu Jiugang, Sichuan Pangang, State Power Investment Corporation's Zakuang, and Huaneng Huajian. As of the end of June 2022, these vehicles had safely traveled 1.06 million kilometers and transported 24.3 million tons of earth and rock. In 2021, it reached a strategic cooperation with State Power Investment Corporation, one of the country's five major power generation groups, and jointly launched the industry's first autonomous driving battery-swap mining truck in the same year, which was officially put into operation in Inner Mongolia mines, helping mines to fully realize safe, unmanned and low-carbon production.
