Boonray Technology works closely with top universities around the world to inject innovative vitality into autonomous driving

In recent years, technological advancements in fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing have been advancing at a rapid pace, leading to a growing demand for high-tech talent. To better prepare businesses for the types of graduates they need, universities are prioritizing in-depth collaboration with businesses, understanding the latest market trends and adjusting teaching content and methods. Boonray Technology, an autonomous driving company driven by technological innovation, has always prioritized collaboration with universities, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes through various means.

As early as 2021, Boonray Technology and the School of Motor Vehicles of Shanghai Jiao Tong University jointly established a joint R&D center for autonomous driving, aiming to combine theoretical research at universities with technological implementation at enterprises to promote technological innovation in the field of autonomous driving. In the same year, Boonray Technology also established a scholarship at the School of Smart Energy Innovation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which is awarded annually to outstanding graduate students who have made outstanding contributions in this field.

During the September 2023 school term, Boonray Technology once again supported academic research with concrete actions, awarding scholarships to four outstanding master's students from the School of Smart Energy Innovation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. These students have achieved remarkable results in the fields of mechanical engineering and energy power, and the scholarship recipients also expressed their desire to join a pragmatic technology company like Boonray Technology after graduation, which focuses on combining theoretical research with technological implementation.

At the same time, Boonray Technology also maintains close cooperative relations with top universities around the world, such as the National University of Singapore, New York University, the University of Hong Kong, Imperial College London, Waseda University, Nanyang Technological University, etc. On October 17, 2023, Ms. Faith The, Vice President of Nanyang Technological University, led a team to Boonray Technology to inspect the working environment of the interns at the university. She expressed her gratitude to Boonray Technology and mentioned that nearly half of the interns sent by Nanyang Technological University to mainland China each year will come to Boonray Technology.

This year, several students majoring in Computer Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering participated in two main areas of work at Boonray: semantic segmentation of vision and object detection using radar-based fusion. They completed their work to a high standard during the limited internship period. During this limited internship period, they not only consolidated their knowledge learned on campus but also gained valuable practical experience. The university stated that Boonray Technology is an ideal internship base for them because it focuses on students' technical application and practical application, helping them transform theoretical knowledge into practical productivity.
