From August 31st to September 2nd, the 2021 World 5G Conference kicked off in Beijing. Over 1,500 experts from 20 countries attended. During the exhibition, the Huawei booth, where Boonray Technology provides autonomous mining technology and equipment, showcased its 5G+ smart mining project, which attracted significant attention from leaders, experts, industry professionals, and media. On the opening day, the "unmanned open-pit mine solution" jointly developed by the two companies was featured in the China News Service.

Boonray Technology and Huawei jointly launched the "5G Smart Mine" project at Jiugang Xigou Mine, achieving China's first nighttime production using autonomous mining trucks without a safety officer. In the smart mining sector, this project represents China's first integrated operation of "truck, shovel, drill, and hammer." Boonray Technology retrofitted China's first 5G-based remote-controlled electric shovel for the project. Together, they helped build Jiugang Xigou Mine in Gansu Province into China's first integrated "5G+ Smart Mine" integrating trucks, shovels, and drills, enabling remote control of electric shovels and unmanned mining trucks. The project earned the company the Gansu Province Outstanding Contribution Award for Promoting High-Quality Development.

This exhibition showcased the latest innovative applications and cutting-edge technologies of 5G, encompassing innovative integration of 5G technology in smart buildings, smart cities, smart factories, entertainment, and the Internet of Vehicles. Beyond the technology itself, the difference between 5G and 4G lies in its scope of application. 5G's primary mission is to empower traditional industries. Human-to-human communication accounts for only 20% of the industry; the remaining 80%—the communication between things, the Industrial Internet—is even more crucial.
