Boonray Technology participated in the formulation of the Safety Requirements for Unmanned Automatic Operations in Open-Pit Mines series of group standards

      On April 7, 2021, Boonray Technology was invited to Chengdu to participate in a working meeting on the drafting of the "Safety Requirements for Unmanned Autonomous Operations in Open-Pit Mines" group standard (hereinafter referred to as TIAA-S61). This standard, based on the working procedures of social group standards and market demand, was proposed by members of the International Telecommunications Association (TIAA) and officially approved after review by the TIAA Standards Committee. This time, Boonray Technology focused on the development of Part 6 of the standard, "System Planning and Design Requirements Based on Hazard Control and Functional Safety," to promote the healthy and sustainable development of unmanned operations in open-pit mines.

This meeting, based on the standard framework established at the first TIAA-S61 meeting on December 4, 2020, discussed how to further improve the standard system for unmanned and automated operations in open-pit mines and develop comprehensive and reasonable industry operating standards and parameters. Companies presented their opinions on the content of the relevant standards at the meeting, and relevant personnel from the drafting unit took note of the comments. After the meeting, all companies involved in the standard development process were encouraged to submit further comments to the organizers. The standard is scheduled to be finalized by the end of 2021.


According to reports, a total of six companies participated in the meeting. In addition to Boonray Technology, other companies included China Telecom, Huawei, Haibo, CRRC Times, TAGE Intelligent Driving, and Huace Five Research Institute.
