Boonray Technology cooperates with Tencent Cloud in the field of mining engineering machinery to help mines achieve efficient and intelligent production.

Recently, Boonray Technology and Tencent Cloud signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of smart mining, explore the innovative application of products and technologies such as real-time audio and video, 5G, and edge computing, and realize remote control of unmanned mining vehicles, excavators, electric shovels and other mining engineering machinery.

As an autonomous driving solution provider, Boonray Technology is committed to using its independently developed L4 autonomous driving full-stack technology to create intelligent solutions such as autonomous driving systems, remote control systems, V2X systems, and shovel monitoring and scheduling systems for open-pit mining scenarios. It has served many large mines in China and is deeply involved in the intelligent transformation practice of the mining industry.

Based on cloud computing, big data, AI, blockchain, audio and video and other technical capabilities, Tencent Cloud continues to focus on real-time interaction, digital twins and other true interconnected applications. It has built the industry's most complete cloud-based integrated audio and video PaaS platform, and has derived more than 100 scenario application practices, helping customers in various fields including the energy industry to continuously deepen the integration of digital and real.

Boonray Technology and Tencent Cloud will leverage their respective strengths in mining operations to further enhance the flexibility of remote control systems. Specifically, the "Tencent Cloud Unbounded" solution deeply integrates Tencent Cloud's real-time audio and video (TRTC) with 5G networks, reducing real-time video transmission latency to less than 100 milliseconds. This breakthrough in the industry provides a reliable remote control experience for mining machinery, comprehensively improving the safety and efficiency of mining operations.

Dr. Yang Yang, co-founder of Boonray Technology, stated that Tencent Cloud will effectively address remote driving challenges such as high video transmission latency, high uplink bandwidth requirements, and video freezes caused by packet loss and jitter, effectively improving the level of intelligent mining. In the future, the two parties will also collaborate in areas such as glasses-free 3D and 5G to create a superior remote driving experience.

Tencent Cloud Vice President Li Yutao stated that the application of autonomous driving and remote control in mining scenarios has attracted considerable attention. Through this collaboration, Tencent Cloud will extend its technological advantages in meeting the concurrent calls of massive consumer users to unmanned mining scenarios, meeting the strict industrial requirements for latency and stability, and facilitating the digital and intelligent upgrade of the real economy.

Prior to partnering with Boonray Technology, Tencent Cloud had been deeply involved in the digitalization of construction machinery for many years, and had previously partnered with Sany Intelligent Mining on remote driving of mining vehicles. This time, Tencent Cloud and Boonray Technology have joined forces to expand the application scenarios of remote control products to excavators, electric shovels, and other operating machinery, forming a more comprehensive mining intelligent solution.
