Boonray Technology Founder and CEO Hu Xinyi introduced the company's development history and core business. Hu Xinyi explained that he and Dr. Yang Yang, who shared bunk beds at Jiaotong University, joined forces to start a business, carrying the DNA of their alma mater. Their journey from a small mine worker's shed to a leading startup in the field of autonomous driving with over 100 employees is inseparable from the academic support and alumni support of their alma mater. By establishing a joint R&D center, they are cultivating leading scientific and technological talent and contributing significantly to society and their alma mater. The company currently focuses on mining, expanding horizontally into related industries and vertically connecting upstream and downstream supply chains to empower the energy sector. As a Jiaotong University graduate, Hu Xinyi is deeply proud of the university's thriving development. He plans to lead Boonray Technology and work with Jiaotong University to promote the research and development of artificial intelligence and autonomous driving technologies, as well as their extended applications in related industries. Industrial exploration will feed back into academic research, while academic research will empower industrial development. Together with their alma mater, they will contribute to achieving my country's goals of intelligent and low-carbon development.

Vice President Zhu Lei expressed his hope that the establishment of the joint R&D center will leverage the respective strengths of both parties, fostering a collaborative development community. Using the joint R&D center as a starting point, they will further explore new models of collaborative development among the university, alumni, and alumni-owned enterprises. Dr. Yang Yang stated that Jiaotong University's academic research strength can provide reliable design guidance for Boonray Technology's R&D work. Boonray's industrial rollout capabilities can enable research findings to be quickly applied in engineering practice, "moving from the lab to the mine," to meet the challenges of real-world scenarios.

The establishment of the joint R&D center will directly promote the stable productization and mass production of Boonray Technology's autonomous driving technology, accelerate the application of Jiaotong University's scientific research results, promote industrial technological innovation and development, and set a benchmark for the integration of industry, academia, and research in the autonomous driving industry.
