5G+Industrial Internet helps upgrade mining productivity. Boonray Technology showcases its products at the 2021 World Digital Economy Conference.

The four-day 2021 World Digital Economy Conference officially concluded in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Focusing on the theme of "Digital Drive, Intelligent Development," the conference focused on the development of the digital economy and new frontiers of digital reform during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The conference hosted six high-level thematic forums, including those on 5G+Beidou and 5G+Industrial Internet, and a special sub-forum on the integration of artificial intelligence and the "carbon neutrality" strategy, both online and offline, to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation across industries.

    A number of industry-leading companies such as China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huawei, as well as industry representatives such as Boonray Technology and Kingdee, and Internet of Things and artificial intelligence industry clusters from Beijing and Shenzhen brought a number of new technologies, new products, and new achievements in the fields of 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, industrial Internet, and intelligent manufacturing to the audience.

  At the conference's main forum, Joseph Sifakis, Turing Award winner and founder of Verimag Labs, an internationally renowned embedded systems research center, noted that while artificial intelligence has significantly improved people's ability to analyze data and optimize resource management, achieving the "Industrial Internet of Things" requires a greater role for highly complex autonomous unmanned technologies to bridge the gap between machine and human intelligence. Boonray Technology's "Unmanned Open-Pit Mine Solution - Boonray Multi-Transport" is an intelligent robotic operation platform that includes functional modules such as autonomous driving, intelligent data collection, and cloud-based big data intelligent analysis. This solution can help mine owners free up manpower, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and ensure safe production.


During the conference, Lu Chuncong, President of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, stated that the integrated innovation of 5G and the Industrial Internet will become a key driving force for digital transformation across various industries. The high bandwidth, low latency, massive connectivity, and high reliability offered by 5G networks, combined with network slicing technology and an IoT management and operations platform, provide Boonray Technology with a flexible, fast, "dedicated" network for remote scheduling in mining areas, increasing production capacity, reducing costs, and accelerating the development of autonomous driving in mining areas. During the exhibition, at the Telecom booth, where Boonray Technology provided support for autonomous driving technology and remote driving seats in mining areas, the 5G+ smart mining project continued to attract attention from leaders, experts, industry representatives, media, and the public attending the conference.



Boonray's remote driving seat, powered by 5G communication technology, uses multi-degree-of-freedom and multi-angle technology to provide real-time feedback on the video, vibration, and tilt status of mining and transportation equipment at the mine site. This allows remote operators to perceive the mine's road environment and control vehicles and equipment in real time.


During mining and transportation operations, Boonray's intelligent shovel management system provides comprehensive mine monitoring and intelligent scheduling of vehicle and shovel operations using a bee swarm algorithm. This includes global path planning, intelligent scheduling, and mixed fleet management. The system also supports the establishment of electronic fences, the creation of real-world 3D maps, and high-precision GIS positioning. It also enables equipment maintenance prediction, mine safety monitoring, and visual reporting, providing comprehensive and effective mine operations management. The system includes PC, mobile, vehicle-mounted, and large-screen displays, enabling coordinated scheduling of machinery across the mine from the cloud.
